Big rallies in Somalia against Kenya, Ethiopia incursion

MOGADISHU, Somalia (Keydmedia) - Hundreds of people have come out on Sunday in the streets of Al-shabab-held towns in Gedo and Jubba regions of southwestern Somalia to show their attitude and angry towards Kenyan and Ethiopian army incursion into the country.

The demonstrators who were carrying banners written in slogans against the on gonging operations by Kenyan and Ethiopian troops gathered at squares in Bardere and Budhubo town which are under the control of Al-shabab militias.

A Senior Al-shabab leader called on those gathered at the rally in Gedo and Jubba regions on Sunday, including veiled women and armed masked men from the group to bring and join their youths into the battle against Ethiopian and Kenyan forces in Somalia.

Reports say, the people were forcibly took part the demonstrations against the current army incursion of Kenya and Ethiopia into Somalia.

Al-shabab militias, which last week merged formally with Al-Qaeda, are facing major military offensives from the east African countries and Somali government to root-out from the country.
